Interest of the second eccop.net newsletter is a new project in the fields of environment and energy for European enterprises which leads to business contacts with partners from Germany, Austria, Estonia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovenia and Italy.

The Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS GmbH) released the first eccop.net - newsletter. The grant agreement which was drawn up between the EU Commission and WFS GmbH as the lead partner was signed on December 20, 2006.
Within the scope of its financial support programme, Action No. 6, the European Commission, Enterprise and Industry Directorate-General, has approved the eccop.net project with the following focus: “Cooperation and Cluster-Building among SMEs – Pilot Project for European Business Cooperation Events and Clustering Activities in Border Regions between New and Old Member States of the EU.”

eccop.net project confirmed - Lead Partner: Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS)

From the beginning of the year 2007 on the Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) is going to develop within the project "eccop.net" (European Clustering and Cooperation net) co-operation and clustering of small and medium-sized enterprises at the interface of the new and the old Europe.
The EU-grant contract was delivered by 20th December 2006.
Main targets of eccop.net are:
Co-operation meetings within the framework of established and new developed interregional events, the strengthening of regional and international networks and clusters, integration of regional and national policy-makers to securing the results as well as to establish and realize synergies of actual and planned projects and sustainability.
Target groups of eccop.net are small and medium-sized enterprises and their networks of several branches of environmental technology with one focus on renewable energies, and additional to that special modules as mechanical and plant engineering and construction, ecologic construction, economic efficiency.
Target regions are the established core regions of the former 3-CIP and REVITAE projects.
Altogether the project has 11 partners from Brandenburg, Estonia, Poland, the Czech Republic, Austria, Slovenia and Italy with the Saxony Economic Development Corporation (WFS) as Lead-Partner.
Project duration: 18 month.
